Hello and welcome to my blog. Today’s card is Father’s Day themed and features a fun twist fold with bright and happy papers.
To create the twist fold design, I started with a piece of card stock that is 4.25″x11″ and scored diagonally from the top left to the bottom right. I folded upwards on the score line, then scored vertically down the middle, and folded on this second score line to finish the fold. Once the card stock is correctly folded, there will be two pockets, one on the outside and another on the inside.
To decorate the card, I cut a piece of patterned paper at 2″x5.5″ and cut diagonally from top left to bottom right. These two pieces go outside the pockets. To cover the inside of the pocket, cut two pieces of patterned paper at 4″x4.5″ (alternatively, you can use card stock for the inside pocket to stamp a sentiment). On the 4″ side, make a mark at 2″ and cut from this point to the top right corner. The larger piece will fit inside the pocket.
I created a tag and stamped two sentiments and an image that’s hidden when the tag is tucked in the front pocket. Inside the card, I used white card stock and stamped a large sentiment to complete the card. This design also accommodates a gift card.
This card will be linked to the:
